About
We are a team of educators that have been working with students with special needs in both mainstream and special schools for many years. From our experience in providing learning/behavioural intervention, we find that sometimes 'cut-shaped textbook' strategies do not seem to be as effective. Often in schools, we do not achieve the outcome that we want because each child has his/her own diversed needs and the strategies available are very generalised.
At Special Needs Hub, we aim to provide individualised attention catering to special educational needs.
Vision
Our vision is to become a recognized Hub of Educational Excellence that provides direct services to students with special educational needs as well as empowering stakeholders with resources and strategies
Mission
Our mission is to advance the achievement of students with special educational needs; empower stakeholders in developing a student's full potential; develop, implement and promote the most effective teaching methods that tailor to the student's individual learning/behavioural needs.
Founders of Special Needs Hub, Ms Nur Aini and Mdm Shahidah are a dynamic duo who set up this hub in Jan 2015. They are professionals who have attained Post Graduate Diploma in Education and Diploma in Special Education from National Institute of Education Singapore (NIE). Their prior experiences include working in mainstream schools and special schools in Singapore, providing intervention to special educational needs and familiarising themselves with the region's education system and curriculum.
